24-25 August 2018, Saturday to Sunday
From Canterbury, we continued east to Dover. We hiked along the cliffs and took in the beautiful scenery. We did the same the next day, in rougher weather, and walked all the way to the South Foreland Lighthouse. This lighthouse was built in 1843 and guided ships across the treacherous English Channel. It was also where Marconi experimented with radio transmissions and sent the first ship-to-land signal. We finished the day with a delightful Sunday roast at the Trout back in Oxford!
