University of Oxford Botanic Garden

Today the kids and I explored the Botanic Garden, at the end of the High Street.  The garden was originally founded as a scientific garden and is one of the oldest research gardens in the world.  We saw lots of interesting specimens, all arranged in a visually pleasing way... the English know how to do their gardens.  Then we walked a bit through Christ Church Meadows, up St. Aldate's for ice cream cones, and browsed the Oxford University Press bookstore - which is right by our bus stop to get home.
