Walking Day

The kids and I did a lot of walking today.  We strolled into Jericho in the morning to run some errands.  Later, we decided to investigate the bell tower that we can see and hear chiming from our apartment.  It wasn't too far away and belongs to the Oxford Center for Mission Studies.  It's a former church, built in the 1860s.

Then we walked along the Oxford Canal.  The little one promptly fell asleep.  A enjoyed pushing the stroller.

Here are the kids enjoying ice lollies outside our apartment building - our flat is on the top floor.  C was adamant that today's fashion choice reflect her American identity.  Then I realized that it is Flag Day and therefore quite appropriate!

Posting a letter.

After dinner, the whole family walked through Oxford University Parks.  The weather was gorgeous today, and the sun sets so late.  It made for a lovely evening stroll.
