Biking in the Cotswolds

14 July 2018, Saturday

The beautiful weather continues!  We made use of it by embarking on an 11-mile biking journey through the Cotswolds, an AONB about an hour west of Oxford.  D planned the journey, with stops at a market and pubs along the way.  We rented adult bikes at a Cotswolds adventure and camping center, and started on our way.

The route turned out to be more hilly than we anticipated, but with some walking of bikes, we made it work.  The scenery was beautiful, and the stops along the way were enjoyable.  The Seven Tuns was especially fun, with good food and a cozy atmosphere inside.  We also enjoyed watching and hearing the Royal International Air Tattoo, which was happening nearby in Gloucestershire.  From a distance we saw some good stunts.

It was a great day out in the English countryside!
