The kids and I enjoyed a mid-week day out in London! We took the train from Oxford to Paddington, then boarded the number 23 bus to Covent Garden. We visited the London Transport Museum (next post), then walked around Covent Garden for a snack. There were musicians playing in the Covent Garden square, and we ate delicious crepes at Crème de la Crêpe.
After passing through Trafalgar Square (next post), we took the tube to the Diana Memorial Playground in Kensington Gardens. The weather was so hot! The museum and public transport were pretty uncomfortable. Luckily we found some water features at the playground to help us cool down a bit!
We walked back to Paddington Station through Kensington Gardens and along Bayswater Road. I love how tranquil and leafy green London feels (at least compared to New York City). On the way, we bought some snacks and tabloids to entertain us for the train ride home. C loves looking at pictures of Princes Harry, George and Louis :)
