We took back roads home to the hotel in Grantown. On the way, we stopped along the Moray Firth and noted our official northernmost travel point in Scotland!
This was 57.6º north, which marks the kids' farthest point north worldwide but is a little short of my Uppsala, Sweden (59.9º north), and D's Helsinki (60.2º north). And home is 40.4º north :)
What a wonderful trip! Never could have predicted that weather. I had to look up Papa's and my northernmost-- Fairbanks is at 64 degrees 50 minutes.
