We took a ride on the big Edinburgh Festival Wheel, which the kids were pretty excited about.
Next, we grabbed dinner at The Conan Doyle pub, where we had our first tastes of haggis, neeps and tatties (oatey goodness, potatoes and turnips) - excellent, especially with the delicious whisky sauce served alongside.
Then we took the tram a couple stops east and walked up to Calton Hill for a view of the city. On our walk back to the hotel, we enjoyed views of the Castle as it glowed in the evening sun.
